If you’re thinking about selling your home, it's important to have a good understanding of what’s going on in the West Michigan market.

Knowing the most important data such as the average sales price, number of homes sold, and days on market will better prepare you to sell your home.

Our market report showcases everything you need to know about local real estate trends.

    Here are a few takeaways...

    Saugatuck / Douglas

    • Average sale price was up 19.3% in April of 2023 vs April of 2022 to $838,317.
    • There were 6 sold listings in April of 2023 vs 7 in 2022; number of pending listings was equal in April of 2023 vs 2022 at 11; and number of new listings (14) was down from 16 in 2022.

    Holland

    • Average list price was up 16%, but average sale price was down 7% in April 2023 vs 2022.
    • Number of sold listings was down 6%, while number of new listings was down 29% vs April of 2022 in Holland.  Although, active listings were up 71%.

    Grand Haven / Spring Lake

    • Average list price is up 41% in April 2023 vs April 2022 in Spring Lake.
    • Number of active listing in Spring Lake and Grand Haven was up 79% in April 2023 vs April 2022.

Spring is upon us, and so is the beautiful weather,  and with that, a very active real estate market.  I suspect we will see a good spring market heading forward, as our momentum heading into the busy season is strong.  Inventory remains a challenge, but we are seeing some signs of a loosening up in that department as sellers are beginning to cash in on some of their equity and making more move-up purchases.
